Top SA artists spread Christmas cheer

The Coca Cola Dome was filled with Christmas cheer on 5 December.

Jacaranda FM and Spar hosted the annual Carols by Candlelight at the Coca Cola Dome on 5 December.

Young and old sang along to the traditional Christmas carols led by the talented Mzansi Youth Choir and various artists including Theuns Jordaan, Nianell, Loyiso Bala, Lloyd Cele, Chiano Sky and Kurt Darren.

”This event is about bringing families together for the festive season. The money for the candles bought and toys donated will be given to different charities,” said Jacaranda FM managing director Kevin Fine.

Loyiso Bala, who has been a part of the event for four years, said he loved singing at the event. ”This creates a great family atmosphere and is a great kick start to the Christmas season, which reminds us to slow down and spend time with our loved ones.”

Chiano Sky was delighted to be part of the event as this was her first time and she enjoyed sharing the stage with the other phenomenal artists.

More than 5 000 people attended the event, which has become a favourite on the annual calender.
