Please remember, don’t ever forget

The Nelson Mandela legacy with which we’ve been blessed.

He is the world’s symbol for peace

And advocated all conflicts should cease.

Imprisoned for 27 long years

He was still able to allay our worst fears.

Now he enters God’s hall of fame

And the world will never be the same.

In the company of saints and angels

They’re sorting all the world’s wrangles.

Somewhere, somehow right will always come out

No matter what the quarrels and wars are all about.

He taught us to love one another with all our hearts

He wanted everyone to have a fresh start.

So remember Mandela, and every good deed

So you too, can set an example and lead.
