Two men allegedly target people at a Standard Bank ATM in Main Road, Bryanston.
According to a man who has been their victim, the suspects wait until you have withdrawn cash and then they approach you. The man, who wants to stay anonymous for his family’s safety, is not from Randburg.
He withdrew cash at the ATM and walked back to his car. As he opened the car door the two suspects grabbed him.
Randburg Sun received camera footage where a Volkswagen Jetta parks next to a Mercedes at a parking lot. The Jetta is parked with its nose towards the exit. When the man who owns the Mercedes returns, two men get out of the Jetta and push the victim against the bonnet of the Jetta. They eventually let him go and as he runs away, the Jetta drives away.
Randburg Police Station commander Brigadier Lettie Hugo said the police would investigate the matter.
