Bike thieves caught
ADT Security put a spoke in the wheels of bike thieves in Ferndale.
The quick response from ADT Security and the Randburg police stopped bike thieves in Ferndale from escaping with their loot.
At about 6am on 1 February two suspects jumped over the wall of a premises in Main Street. The suspects went to the back and were in the process of stealing a motorbike and a quad bike. The person living on the property heard the noise and alerted the security company and the police who arrived shortly afterwards.
The suspects immediately fled the scene and left behind both bikes next to the wall. The police managed to apprehend and arrest one of the suspects.
Managing director of ADT Security Central Region Clive Humphrey emphasised the value of the police and security companies working together to ensure the safety of the community.
