A love story from the Wedding Expo
RANDBURG - Brides and grooms to be enjoy expo for their nuptials.
Hosted every year, the Wedding Expo brings numerous brides and grooms enormous joy because it makes planning a wedding easier. The Randburg Sun met up with a beautiful couple which looked as if they just started dating when in actual fact, they have been together for seven years and have known each other for even longer.
Anna-Mari Kok and Ryno Reid strode softly through the glazing corridors of the Wedding Expo, at the Coca Cola Dome in Northgate.
The couple held hands and Reid took time to walk around with his soon to be Mrs Reid, instead of watching a game or playing one.
“We met in 2007 at Look and Listen when I was looking for a CD,” said Kok as she jumped at the opportunity to tell us about their love life.
Reid wanted to do a world class proposal hundreds of feet above ground.
“We were supposed to go up on the hot air balloon and he was going propose but the weather was bad,” she explained.
As a determined man on a mission to put the ring on it, Reid quickly thought of a plan B.
“He then took us to a garden and he proposed in-front of the birds. It was very beautiful around nature,” Kok said.
The soon to be Mrs Reid did not see it coming but Reid always knew that he wanted to marry her.
“I knew that day will come from the first time we started dating, she is an amazing woman and I love her,” said Reid looking deeply in Kok’s sparkling eyes.
“I was caught by surprise, I kept on asking, really, really, really and he kept saying yes will you marry me,” Kok said with an extraordinary big smile.
The couple will get married on 21 March 2015 in Pretoria and will have the honeymoon in Thailand.
“We have everything planned but still need invites and the cake and the Expo has been eye opening,” she said.
