Randburg’s creative art on display
RANDBURG - The Randburg Art Society continue to share their talent no matter what.
Randburg Art Society recently held an Animals in Action Art Exhibition which showcased the amazing talent from the community.
All the art displays were drawn and painted by members and the exhibition was one of many activities of the Art Society, which encourages members to stretch their talents.
“I am delighted by the response from members and the range of work was very impressive. We hope to have further theme-based exhibitions later on this year and a retrospective in November, where our members show their latest works for comment,” explained the chairman of the Randburg Art Society, Lawrence Oellermann.
Oellermann further stated that the group meets every Monday morning at the Blairgowrie to paint, draw, try new techniques and share knowledge and experience, especially during their tea breaks. “We hold workshops, demonstrations and have an extensive library of art reference and technique books to assist us.”
According to the chairman, membership has grown in 2014 and is now closed, but interested people could contact him and put their name down should a vacancy become available. Membership is limited by the number of worktables available.
