Municipal fails road users

RANDPARK RIDGE - Local business man and resident Barcley Stephenson takes his own iniciative to close off a pothole until city council fixes it.

Randpark Ridge resident Andy Kiloh wanted an explanation about the pothole on Seder Road, which the Barcley Stephenson Real Estate Agency owner had covered.

According to the owner Barcley Stephenson, the pothole had turned into a sink hole. “The JRA [Johannesburg Road Agency]were contacted and they arrived two weeks ago to “fix it”. The whole road is closed off , with workers still on site. To me it does not look like it will be repaired any time soon,” said Stephenson.

He stated that he had the boards put up to stop any potential damage to cars. “The unfortunate thing is that there are only two entrances or exits into Randpark Ridge. One, being at the Randpark Drive and the other on Seder Street, so you can imagine the traffic. I can only hope that this will be resolved soon.”

Johannesburg Roads Agency, Bertha Peters-Scheepers said that a team was sent out to investigate and a response would be given soon.
