Networking for a good cause

NORTHWOLD – Women in business to meet and greet at Ann Harding Cheshire Home.

The Ann Harding Cheshire Home for the physically disabled will hold a networking breakfast for women on 20 June, and all residents of Randburg are invited to attend.

Don’t expect your run-of-the-mill networking breakfast, however. No, this networking breakfast will be filled goodie bags, a three course breakfast, lucky draws, auctions, and a 45 minute Djembe drumming session.

The aim of the breakfast is to raise funds for the 39 residents at the home and for its high maintenance costs.

“Transport costs rise all the time,” said Mandla Mhlanga, the home’s manager. “And the electricity bills don’t come cheap. We also have to pay the salaries of the nursing staff. Fundraisers like this help us to keep our doors open so we can continue to care for our people here.”

The breakfast will be held at Cabanga Conference Centre in Northriding, and doors will open at 7.30am for 8am. Cost per person is R250, but if anyone would like to sponsor a woman resident from the home to attend, it would be greatly appreciated.
