Social media condolences for Joan Rivers

JOBURG – Comedic leged Joan Rivers has died at the age of 81, and social media condolences pour in.

“My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh.”

This is what Melissa Rivers told the world in a statement on 4 September, after comedic icon Joan Rivers succumbed to death.

Joan (81) died after she went into cardiac arrest during a surgical procedure on 28 August.

“Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon,” Melissa wrote.

Not only was she accustomed to poking fun at celebrities on E! Television’s Fashion Police, Joan was also her own subject of comedic dialogue.

While many were fixated on how her face transformed through the years due to cosmetic surgery, Joan joined in the fun whenever she could.

One of her most memorable quotes, “I’ve had so much plastic surgery, when I die, they will donate my body to Tupperware,” was quoted a considerable number of times on Twitter as the world posted its condolences.
