Refilwe helps to green the communities

LANSERIA - Refilwe Community Projects greens the airport.

The country celebrated Arbor Week from 1 to7 September this year.

It was no different at Refilwe Community Project, as they displayed some trees at Lanseria Airport on 5 September.

Refilwe’s Donor relations manager Corné Engelbrecht said it was a wonderful opportunity to call on all their staff, volunteers, donors and partners to plant indigenous trees as a practical and symbolic expression of sustainable environmental management.

One of organisations’s partners enabled them to put together a great environmental awareness display.

Claudette Vianello, marketing and media manager at Lanseria International Airport, as well as the rest of the staff helped to make the display a reality once again.

Refilwe’s Donor relations manager Corné Engelbrecht says, “So many people did not know that we participate and celebrate a whole week to “green” our communities.”
