Students behaving badly in Bordeaux
BORDEAUX – Community members from Bordeaux fed up with students from Technisa College drinking and littering in the park.
Community members at Bordeaux are completely fed up with the behaviour of students from Technisa College.
It is alleged that the students were drinking, and throwing all their empty bottles and cans all over the park – and they were also urinating against residents houses in Park Avenue.
Sector 1 representative Chris Thomas was not impressed with the student’s behaviour.
“We are not happy with their behaviour, they were drinking and littering all over the park,” he said.
Thomas explained that the students dispersed when SAPS and JMPD were called out. “The officers made the students clean up and properly dispose of the waste in the bins provided,” he said.
There are also complaints of drinking and littering in Huguenot Avenue.
“We will be monitoring the place and keeping an eye on the students,” added Thomas.
Ward 102 councillor David Potter said with regards to activities in the local park, enforcements from JMPD and the Randburg SAPS will need to intervene.
“The residents association in conjunction with their local security company and the law enforcement agencies will need to closely monitor the use of the park by all visitors not complying with the bylaws in public spaces. The residents and myself look forward to working with the college management to come to a resolution of the complaints brought up,” concluded Potter.
Comment from Technisa college is still awaited.
