RANDBURG – Follow up on on-going court cases at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
Keep up-to-date on the court cases that have taken place at the Randburg and Johannesburg Magistrates’ courts.
- The Linden policeman accused of raping a 25-year-old detainee at the Linden Police Station on 28 June was last seen in court on 19 August. The case was postponed and he will appear in court on 16 October.
- Sindisiwe Manqele appeared in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stabbing Nkululeko Flabba Habedi to death on 17 August. Judge Sithole reminded Manqele that she was still out on R10 000 bail and then postponed the case for hearing until 7 September in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
- The case involving death of former Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere and his passenger Kady-Shady O’Bryan was last heard on 26 August. The driver of the other vehicle, Preshalin Naidoo, has appeared in court several times.The trial is scheduled for 29 and 30 October and will be held in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
- Grandson of the late former president Nelson Mandela, appeared at the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on 25 August to resume his bail application. He is accused of allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl at a restaurant in Greenside on 7 August. The 24-year-old was granted R7 000 bail and he will appear 16 September.
