NutriDay yoghurt gets a new look and taste
BRYANSTON – Danone NutriDay launches its new look and taste of yoghurt in Bryanston.
Danone launched its NutriDay yoghurt’s new look and taste on 10 November at Bryanston Place Business Park.
Danone’s general manager Emil Cochev said the purpose its to promote the yoghurt not only as desirable but also more nutritious.
“Between work, school, gym, homework and other activities, kids and adults alike need to rely on an easy and nutritious solution to support their active lifestyles,” said Cochev.
He shared some history about Danone and the brand, which is currently 95 years old and has been active in South Africa for the past 17 years.
“We want to place an emphasis on the health benefits of yoghurt and hope to reach more South Africans,” said Cochev.
Danone senior product development and dietician Marlinie Kotiah explained some of the benefits of yoghurt.
“Yoghurt is made from a combination of milk and live cultures that makes this product unique. In addition to calcium and protein, NutriDay yoghurt is a
source of vitamins A, B, D and E – all essential nutrients needed by the body daily,” explained Kotiah.
According to Kotiah, the South African Department of Health dairy products is recognised as an essential part of a balanced diet and it is recommended to be eaten daily.
“As the leader in the yoghurt category in South Africa, our role is to encourage all South Africans, both kids and adults, to include the goodness of yoghurt in their daily diet by offering them an affordable delicious snack rich in nutrients” said Thomas Morf, marketing director of Danone Southern Africa.
