Many attend anti-drug campaign

FONTAINEBLEAU – ANC anti-drug campaign sees hundreds visit for information.

The informative anti-drug abuse event hosted by the ANC over the weekend was a great success.

The event took place in the park opposite the NG Kerk, corner Rabie Street and Republic Road.

ANC Ward 104 communications officer, Mzi Khumalo said, “We had musicians performing as well as a brass band that kept the spirits high. We were also joined by the deputy secretary of the ANC Jesse Duarte.”

Among the speakers were Aaron Nazo from the Department of Safety and Security, Rosin Morero of Sanca and survivors of drug abuse, as well as Linda Sebothoma who is the ANC Ward 104 councillor candidate.

“We are pleased with the opportunity to bring the campaign to this park and the opportunity to address particularly those who sit in the park and abuse substances.”
