RADIOKOP – Learning centre children spread some Valentine's Day love.

RADIOKOP – Valentine’s Day was special for residents of The Flower Foundation Retirement Village.
Six schoolchildren of Sunny Smiles Assisted Learning Centre in Radiokop paid a visit to the elderly and handed out Valentine’s hearts they had made themselves.

“The response was wonderful and brought tears of joy to most of the residents,” said Diane O’Carroll, owner of the learning centre.

O’Carroll said the children were touched by the elderly residents’ appreciation.

“They [children] had to learn to talk softly and not run around in respect of the residents.”

The Flower Foundation is a non-profit organisation which caters for the needs of the elderly by providing suitable accommodation and care.
