Honeydew CPF honors hard working Mthethwa

HONEYDEW – Sometimes the hardest work comes from those who work behind the scene and none is truer than Sarah Mthethwa.

HONEYDEW – The CPF Honeydew Goodwill Shield was given to Honeydew Police’s senior admin clerk Sarah Mthethwa.

Honeydew Police Station is one of the largest stations in the sector and as such needs a lot of people both on the front line and behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Every month the Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) award a staff member at the station who that has not only shown goodwill but a true character, spirit, an excellent work ethic, and bravery.

This month’s award was given to Mthethwa who works in the financial or loss control department at the station.

Being the senior admin clerk she reports to her commander Captain Ludi Schnelle.

“I gave her the letter of motivation because she is the only one assisting me in running this department. As of November last year, she has single-handily kept our [performance rating] at a level 5 (which is the highest level),” said Schnelle.

CPF public relations officer Jon Rosenberg said, “We are happy that we can show appreciation for her exceptional work. It is nice to award those who are normally unseen but play invaluable roles in the police station.”

She was awarded the shield, along with a trophy that she can keep and an awesome R350 gift voucher from Turn ‘n Tender. “I am very happy I got this award but right now I am at a loss for words,” said Mthethwa.

Well done Mthethwa!
