Anne Harding Cheshire Home gets a fantastic surprise

NORTHWOLD – Run With a Heart donates much-needed funds to the Anne Harding Cheshire Home.

The gift that keeps on giving was felt by the residents of Anne Harding Cheshire Home when they were presented with a cheque of R11 750.

The members of Randburg Harriers collected more than R11 750 for the residents at Anne Harding throughout the year.

The Run With a Heart initiative saw members donating as much as they could afford to a kitty which was then distributed to two deserving charities, Wandsworth School and Anne Harding.

Jackie Kyle, fundraiser for the home said, “We are always so grateful for the support we receive from Randburg Harriers. This money helps us keep the cost of living here down and goes towards much-needed maintenance and general running costs.”

The home was in for another awesome surprise when public relations manager, Zoe Brentano-Murphy presented them with another cheque of R9 042.

This donation was collected by taking a percentage of the entry fees at the KFC Valentines Night race that was hosted in February.

“We would like to share this fundraising event with the community in the hopes of encouraging others to donate to local charities, be it through personal or business expense,” added Brentano-Murphy.

Details: Anne Harding Cheshire Home, 011 793 4015.
