Meet the Boston City Campus bursary winners

RANDBURG CBD – Three winners are ecstatic after entering the bursary competition, Shoe Drive at Randburg Square

 

 

One of Randburg Boston City Campus and Business College’s bursary winners plans to take an extra course at the college. University of Johannesburg student, Romy-lee Sanderson is one of the three people who won the R20 000 bursary.

She entered this competition after donating shoes at the Randburg Square Shopping Centre last month.

“This bursary will help me with my extra course aligning with my studies,” she said.

The three bursaries were part of the Shoe Drive campaign done by the Randburg Square Shopping Centre with Boston College, Fikile Property Fund, Mustard Seed Relationship Marketing cc, Imvuno Enhle (Beautiful Harvest) and Phukubje Pierce Masithela Attornies (PPM).

Mayani Maseko from PPM, Amalia Bene from Boston, Tshegofatso Mothabane, Simone Homan (Randburg Square senior portfolio manager), Berry Dikotla from Boston and the shopping centre’s marketing manager Rosanela Pierce at Randburg Square.

The shopping centre held a shoe collection campaign as part of its Social Corporate Responsibility in which they called on people to donate pairs of shoes from March until the end of April this year.

The centre’s marketing manager, Rosanela Pierce said they collected about 1 017 pairs of shoes during this initiative. She thanked all the people who were involved. “We will be distributing these shoes before the end of this month,” she said.

Manyai Maseko from PPM audited the results. She said their firm was always willing to get involved in social responsibility initiatives.

“We want to get involved in these initiatives. It is always good to know that people are given that opportunity to study and be somewhere in their lives.”

The Randburg Boston City Campus and Business College representatives with the initiative stakeholders at the shopping centre.

Boston Randburg branch manager, Amalia Bene said they were excited to partner with the shopping centre and be able to promote their motto of Education for Life. “We are proud of our brand as we encourage people to study.”

The winners of three bursaries worth R20 000 each are Belinah Motlhabane, Romy-lee Sandeson and Precious Sibisi.
