A two-year-old girl drowned at a residence in Olivedale in the morning of 21 June.
According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, ER24 and Life Healthcare paramedics arrived at the scene and found the child and the mother seated on the pavement outside the residence at around 10:40 am.
“Paramedics quickly assessed the child and found no signs of life. CPR and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an effort to revive the patient,” he said.
After 30 minutes, there were still no vital signs, and the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
