PinkMobile launches cellular contracts for a good cause
JOBURG – We all need to pay for data but for the first time our money will benefit early detection of cancer.
PinkMobile is a newly launched mobile virtual network operator, aimed at supporting the fight against cancer.
PinkDrive in partnership with MVN-X (a Mobile Virtual Network enabler) launched this cellular mobile data service offering South Africans the opportunity to donate to this worthy cause by just using their phones.
MVN-X’s chief executive officer Steve Bailey spoke about the service during its launch at PinkDrive’s Christmas in July event. “I am really proud that we are now able to offer a service that not only assists mobile users but that for the first time the profits will be used to help patients and their families suffering from cancer. It’s a win-win in my eyes.”
PinkMobile will now launch month-to-month contract deals. Customers will be able to sign up easily online, giving them the flexibility to manage their account completely. The PinkMobile deals have been created to give customers value for money, while at the same time helping to fight against breast, cervical, testicular and prostate cancer.
Some packages available are PinkTalk, which includes 500 minutes talk time, 500MB of data and 200 SMSes for R300 per month or PinkStandard, which includes 100 minutes, 500MB of data and 100 SMSes for R200 per month.
