World Homeless Day commemorated in Joburg

10 October is World Homeless Day and those without a roof over their heads were not forgotten.

The Johannesburg Organisation of Services to the Homeless (Josh) along with Homeless Talk hosted an event to celebrate the day.

This was the first time this day was commemorated in Joburg at the Randburg Methodist Church.

The event was attended by Josh founder, Gillet de Klerk and City of Johannesburg Social Development’s Wandile Zwane while Dennis Hurley Centre’s Raymond Perrier, Generosity South Africa’s Mark Kotze, Street Peoples Forum’s Hassan Khan and Reverend Stephan de Beer from Tshwane Homeless Forum.
