MUST READ: Woman gives birth on CR Swart Drive

A healthy baby boy was born on the side of CR Swart Drive when his mother went into labour unexpectedly on the afternoon of 23 October.

According to a Facebook post by Quick Response Service (QRS), paramedics came across the woman in labour at around 5pm. Community members, together with emergency personnel, jumped in to assist the young mother.

“Thanks to the quick-thinking, rapid response and help from the community, a healthy baby boy was born,” read the Facebook post.
