RANDPARK RIDGE – Is surviving a stampede at the mall just for decent deals worth it?
With the hype of Black Friday now behind us, Randburg Sun asked community members if the specials were worth it.

I think the whole Black Friday phenomenon is a scam. But then again, it is also a chance for those who have nothing to pick up a few bargains.
I was at work that day but luckily we have online shopping these days which made things easier. The specials I found were definitely worth all the effort and trouble. I would not have gone to the stores as it was madness there.
It’s good for most people but I would not have been able to go. I have a toddler and Black Friday is not exactly family friendly. It is not safe although I saw some specials that were tempting.
Black Friday is a great idea because there are so many good specials for everyone. Sadly I could not go because I was working that day but I would have loved to be at the stores with everyone.
I am not that stupid. We think we’re getting good deals but in fact, we are not at all, it’s just a lie. I don’t want anything that much in my life that I would be in a stampede for.
