Fontainebleau Post Office reopened for business

FONTAINEBLEAU – South African Post Offices apologises for the inconvenience caused by the closure of its Fontainebleau branch.

The Fontainebleau Post Office was recently reopened with postal services returning to normal.

During the time of its closure, all over-the-counter postal services, parcels and registered items were available at the Cresta Post Office branch.

Johan Kruger of the communications division at the South African Post Office, said items for customers in the area have been returned to the Fountainbleu branch and customers could collect them.

He said countrywide, 16 branches out of 1 500 were temporarily closed because of differences with property owners over rental.

“They will be reopened as soon as possible,” he said.

Kruger added that they fully understood the inconvenience caused to their customers and they sincerely apologised for that.

“We also work very hard to make sure our branches remain open and operational.”
