Christmas babies arrive at Olivedale hospital
The bundles of baby boy joy were born on the day which has been marked by family and full stomachs.
Netcare Olivedale Hospital welcomed two Christmas babies on 25 December. The bundles of baby boy joy were born on the day which has been traditionally celebrated by family and full stomachs. Both moms were elated to welcome the healthy newborns into the world.

First up was Amanda Tshintsholo’s bundle of joy Zubenathi who has two older brothers who were waiting for him at home. After Zubenathi entered the world at 12.15pm on Christmas, Tshintsholo glowed that his whole family was excited to meet their very own Christmas baby. Zubenathi weighed 2.8 kg and was born within the time stipulated by the doctor.
“I feel so happy so happy and blessed!”

Liam Chidawanyika made his arrival as his family had prepared Christmas lunch in the Vaal for their family when his dad decided it was best to go for a check-up before they travelled the distance to celebrate the holiday. After tests were concluded the nurse who assisted them let them know that they weren’t going anywhere!
At 3.6 kg, baby Liam weighed 0.1kg more than his older 8-year old brother who playfully hyperventilated after his parents let him know. The family was happy with the care which they had experienced at the hospital’s maternity ward.

Older brother Hope was excited to have a partner in crime, where mom and dad Charlotte and Munya Chidawanyika were “blessed” with their healthy bundle of joy.
