Happy New Year from Ward 101 councillor Dalu Cele
NORTH RIDING – 'I would like to thank the community in Ward 101 for their cooperation, active participation in all the activities in our ward' – Ward 101 councillor Dalu Cele.
Ward 101 councillor Dalu Cele writes:
The past year had some good and bad points, but I would like to thank the community in Ward 101 for their cooperation, active participation in all the activities in our ward.
When I look back at some of the lowlights for 2019, there has been the constant power outages that affected Bromhof, parts of Boskruin and Strijdom Park due to infrastructure failure, faults, vandalism and cable theft.
The power outages were exacerbated by load-shedding as well.
But through all of this, our community continued its active participation in all the issues of service delivery, and this is something I would like to see our community continue to do into the new year.
I hope to see our residents continue to help in the fight against crime and any other issues that may impact the lives of our community.
I was encouraged by the increased number of community participation at public meetings in our ward this year, I wish for the same to continue in the new year.
I wish to take this opportunity to give the residents in Ward 101 my best wishes for the year ahead.
