How to log maintenance issues with Joburg City Parks

JOBURG – Joburg City Parks and Zoo's Joburg Connect call centre is there to help you log your issues when dealing with emergency and non-emergency issues.


Joburg City Parks and Zoo encourages residents to use their Joburg Connect call centre to log grass cutting and maintenance issues.

Step one:

  • Call Joburg Connect on 011 375 5555 or 086 0562 874
  • The caller will receive a reference number from the consultant, a call will be dispatched to the region.

Turnaround times for non-emergency issues include damaged signage, pathways, fence in a park, rubberising, lights, litter bins, park furniture, braai stands. The response for these issues should be within 48 hours with repairs within 30 days.

Emergency issues include damaged play equipment, ablution facilities, fence within a protected area, water pipes and damaged electrical wiring. Response turnaround times should be 12 hours with repairs within seven days.

Step two (if there is no response):

  • If there is no response within the specified time, escalate the issue
