Two left injured following a shooting in North Riding

NORTH RIDING – A male was in a serious condition when the ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene just before midnight.

Last night, 3 March, a shooting incident left two people, a male and a female, injured.

The incident happened just before the ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 11.30pm. ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said when ER24 paramedics arrived, they found both patients lying outside on the driveway.

“Upon closer inspection, paramedics found that the man sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder as well as the arm and was in a serious condition. The woman had sustained minor injuries,’ explained Meiring.

He added that ER24 treated and stabilised both patients on the scene, before transporting them to the hospital for further medical care.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations,” concluded Meiring.
