No Covid-19 testing to take place at Ticketpro Dome
NORTHGATE – After being offered as a Covid-19 testing centre, no testing will be taking place at the Ticketpro Dome.
The Ticketpro Dome in Northgate was flagged as a possible temporary Covid-19 testing centre after President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement of a state of disaster last week.
The Dome’s management was more than happy to offer the venue as a place of support during this time.
This follows the cancellation and/or postponement of numerous entertainment performances and expos at the venue, including Castle Light Unlocks Cardi B, the Mama Magic Baby Expo, WWE Live, and more.
However, the Randburg Sun confirmed with the venue’s portfolio director Cynthia Penprase that the Dome will not be used as a testing centre for now as the government has activated another testing facility.
“We remain in contact with the City of Joburg on where we can assist, and we hope that all citizens stay safe during this time,” she said.
