Wheel Well has moved their premises from Strijdom Park to a premises in Fontainebleau. The organisation which champions child safety on the roads and distributes car seats at a discounted price has continued to operate.
The move was planned before lockdown for April. When the government ruled that citizens were allowed to move during lockdown, Wheel Well grabbed the opportunity to move with both hands.
The organisation vacated their industrial space in Strijdom Park to a homely cottage in Fontainebleau on 86 Annie Road due to affordability. The move was cost effective and has provided a change of scenery for the organisation.
“The atmosphere is better,” founder of Wheel Well Peggie Mars expressed with glee. “What we do is personal, and the new space is an extension of that,” continued Mars as she mused about the garden and birds which surround the stand-alone house.
Wheel Well now operates from the cottage as well as the garage of the house in Fontainebleau, not far from their previous location. Mars and her team have continued to offer consultations about car seats and road safety, as well as sell car seats in mint condition to those who were not able to afford them at full price. All sales remain discrete.
