A Christmas message of support from Honeydew CPF

HONEYDEW – Honeydew Community Police Forum's Michael Steyn gives a message of support to the community for the festive season.

Honeydew Community Police Forum’s (CPF) Michael Steyn has given a message of support to the community for the festive season on behalf of the forum.

He writes:

Our highlight of 2020 was to see all the good we get to do in our community. The small things we say and do can make a bad situation more positive. The gratitude we get makes it all worth it.

During 2020, we have definitely seen lowlights. These have most certainly been incidents where there was a loss of life, where we have family members who attend the scene and come to the realisation that their loved one is no longer with them.

We would just like to thank the security companies, emergency services and community members. We would like to thank our police and Metro police members who are always a phone call away.

Everything the CPF Victim Support and Patrollers do is at their own cost. Most of the time, when we buy equipment such as traffic cones, reflectors and torches, it is from our members’ pockets.

Many of the members currently don’t have a bulletproof vest. If the community or businesses want to get involved in sponsorships during 2021, then they are welcome to get in contact with us to see what the need is at that time.
This year has been rough on everyone due to Covid-19, but we would like to wish everyone a great festive season and a happy New Year.
