Woman critically injured after being struck by a car

BLAIRGOWRIE – The woman was transported to Life Fourways Hospital for further care.


A 19-year-old female was left critically injured when she was struck by a light motor vehicle on Woodlands Boulevard in Blairgowrie on 18 February.

ER24 paramedics and Life Healthcare arrived on the scene at 8.26am to find the woman lying in the road. The vehicle that had struck her was parked a few metres away.

“Medics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition,” explained Russel Meiring, ER24 communications officer. “Paramedics treated the woman and provided her with several advanced life support interventions before being transported to Life Fourways Hospital for further care,” he said.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
