RANDPARK RIDGE – The motorbike rider was transported to a private hospital for further care.

A 24-year-old motorbike rider was seriously injured after colliding side-on with a bakkie at the intersection of Beyers Naudé Drive and Duiker Avenue in Randpark Ridge on 3 April.

According to Ross Campbell, the communication officer from ER24, paramedics arrived at 10.40pm and found the motorbike in pieces. “Some 30 metres away from the bakkie, which was on lying its side from the impact.
