Man hospitalised following electrocution in Bloubosrand

BLOUBOSRAND – According to ER24, the man sustained severe burns and is in a critical condition.


A man, believed to be in his 30s, was hospitalised after he was electrocuted on Drommedaris Avenue in Bloubosrand.

ER24 arrived to find a man lying in a field near a transformer box at 11:05 on October 20. “On assessment, medics found that the man had sustained severe burns over most of his body and was in a critical condition,” said ER24 communications officer, Russel Meiring.

“The man was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions before being transported to [a nearby] hospital for further care.”

The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
