Kensington B gets ghoulish for Halloween
KENSINGTON B – Residents dress to scare for Halloween in Kensington B.
Halloween provided the perfect opportunity for neighbours to connect after hard lockdown.
So said KenBrink Residents Association secretary Bronwyn Strydom, who organised a neighbourhood trick-or-treat event.
“We had amazing participation with over 50 homes handing out treats and more than 110 trick-or-treaters in costume,” she told Randburg Sun.
“The [people at the]houses handing out treats were amazing and ]they]also dressed up and decorated tables and homes. We had a competition for the most original costume in different age categories and local business sponsored prizes. It was such a success we will definitely make it an annual event.”
She concluded that community is important, and the association looks for ways to encourage neighbours to get to know each other.
