This is what Randburg motorists had to say about the fuel price

Randburg motorists, taxi drivers and delivery people all share their frustrations with Randburg Sun about the fuel price increase.

No local residents were in a good mood when speaking to the Randburg Sun about the latest fuel price increase.

The price of petrol is expected to rise above R25 per litre on June 1, and Randburg Sun found petrol stations in Randburg busier then ever from even the morning before.

Many lamented the increase in cost of living over the last few months and years, and complained about a perceived lack of concern about this on the part of government.

Here is what they had to say…

MALINDI SOMTHI: The price is not fair at all. I am driving with Uber and we are offering the same price. We are not making any profit but we still need to feed the family and pay school fees.
BONGANI NGWENYA: I’m the supervisor at Shell Blairgowrie and we have had so many more people coming in today. Everyone is complaining about the price of petrol. I assist as best I can.
DESCENT JAMELA: I don’t think anyone is happy with the current petrol price. It is far too much and people are struggling.
CHIMWEMWE MKANDAWIRE: I deliver food and people like me are not coping with the petrol price. It is not fair at all.
