Honeydew Police Station arrested 35 people last week, mostly for violent crimes.
Spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said these arrests occurred from May 30 to June 4 in the various areas which are policed by the station.
“These suspects will appear in court for various crimes like assault GBH [with intent to cause grievous bodily harm], theft, shoplifting, housebreaking, attempted housebreaking, robbery, rape and attempted murder,” he said.
“This shows that the policemen of Honeydew are working around the clock to see to it that crime is kept to an acceptable level.”
