The fire occurred at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court parking on September 7 leaving many people and the car owners shocked.
Watch:
Nicola Pinto whose car unfortunately burnt said that she was in court when she was informed about the fire in the parking. “When I saw it was my car on fire, I was very disappointed. I don’t know what the cause of the fire was. Luckily there weren’t too many important documents I lost.”

She added that it was disappointing and unexpected because nobody expects a fire to start in a park area at the court. “But if you look around it does make sense with the surrounding with all the long dry grass and everything it makes sense that a fire could happen, but it was a little bit unexpected.”

Radebe Kgiba, confirmed that they received a call in the morning and found four vehicles on fire in the parking lot.
“The vehicles from the Randburg Fire Station were dispatched and successfully put out the fire. There were no injuries or fatalities,” she said.

Lenash Probery said that it was heartbreaking to watch her car burn and very disappointing that the fire just started inside the court parking.
“I was shocked that it was my car on fire and I am very sad my car was a birthday gift and very special to me.”
