Mukala and Ellis did not disappoint the fans who came out in numbers as they went all the way in 10 rounds. The Panther took the fight on unanimous decision after scoring more points taking his tally to 19–2, with 15 knockout (KO) wins.

He explained that he deserved the win because he was the active guy, throwing more punches, putting more points.
“I tried to knock him out, but the KO didn’t come on the night, but I had to work more to get the win on points. I’d like to thank God, my saviour, to give me this big victory for my career, and I am so proud of myself. I deserve this victory. I did work hard for it.”

He added that it wasn’t easy, but in securing the win, the door for more big international fights is opened.
“I was the best fighter on the night because I did all I have to do in the ring to win. I left everything in the ring. I am hoping to finish this year with a second fight in December. My manager, she’s busy organizing it.”

A 34-year-old seasoned veteran in the peak of his career, Ronald Ellis is currently on a four-fight losing streak (19-5 with 12 KOs). Mukala, the knockout artist, is on the verge of breaking into the higher ranks of the middleweight class.
