Artist finally achieves dream

RANDPARK RIDGE – Daniel Isele is set to release his new single after facing many trials and tribulations.

Daniel Isele is set to release his new single titled La La Lah from his debut album Born to Play. The musician from Randpark Ridge was born and bred in Nigeria and came to South Africa in 2006 to pursue his musical career, as he was struggling to find his feet in his home country.

“My father told me that music was not for me, I must concentrate on my studies but I knew in my heart I just wanted to be a musician,” he said. Isele added that he dropped out of university, where he was studying industrial chemistry, in his second year to pursue a musical career despite opposition from friends and family. “I am the kind of artist who helps other artists reach their dreams because I know what it is like to have no one believe in you,” he said.

Isele said that it was after he attended the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in 2012 that he was able to see his music career as a business and has been on the path to success ever since. The self-taught musician said that he started off by playing drums, which inspired him to learn the piano and the bass guitar. “I am the kind of artist who can play different genres such as gospel, jazz, and RnB, but my first love is Nigerian Afro pop which is what my fans like the most,” he added.

Isele pointed out that he has diverse musical talents such as music production and distribution, which he used to distribute his own music online. The father of two said that he was always busy with his music career which often included travelling as he played at several festivals across the country. “All I want is to be a success story so that I can inspire the youth because they are our future,” he said. Isele said that he would be announcing the date for his single’s launch soon. He added that if anybody wanted to get a copy of his single they could download it from iTunes.
