FONTAINEBLEAU – The Wheel Well competition for two watercolour paintings winners have been announced.

The competition was concluded at the end of October. Since then Wheel Well founder and owner Peggie Mars has made her way to deliver the prize personally to one of the winners based in Buccleuch, Joburg. Mars was accompanied by the artist of both paintings, Jo Barnard.
The winner of the first prize Dr Mzi Ndula was overjoyed when she found out that she won the competition.
“What was exciting was that I got to contribute to a local NPO by buying my ticket because I know that they struggle to generate money,” recalled Ndula. “To win the prize was the cherry on top!”
Mars delivered the watercolour painting of orchids in-person to Joburg resident Ndula. The second prize, a painting of egrets, has been sent to winner Britt Elliot via a courier, as she is based in Cape Town.
“Jo was delighted to see the impact of her paintings on another person,” beamed Mars.
Mars was happy to deliver the prize herself. The founder and owner is committed to keep the organisation’s momentum going after the unprecedented disruptions this year.
