Local resident reflects beyond the glitz and glamour or showbusiness
WINDSOR – Local resident speaks on the value of showbiz skills.
Kenneth Bongolo (26) is no stranger to the limelight and was a finalist in Mr South Africa last year, ahead of his journey to America to attend the International Modelling and Talent Association in Los Angeles.
For Bongolo, who is categorised as a plus-size model, the world of glitz and glamour goes beyond the prospect of fame.
“It has opened a lot of doors for me and made me discover talents I didn’t know I had such as acting and motivational speaking. The industry has made me more bold and strong enough to face the obstacles that accompany success,” reflected Bongolo.
The fully bilingual French and English speaking Bongolo felt humbled by the opportunity ahead of him to represent sunny South Africa.
“Being selected to represent my country, South Africa, at the biggest modelling convention in the world is a great opportunity to not only make it even bigger in the industry but also to show people that with the right attitude and determination, all things are possible.”
