Who’s your Randburg hero?
RANDBURG – Do you know of a hero you would like to bring to our attention? Nominate them to be named the #RandburgHero.
To say that we as a society have been through a lot lately is an understatement of note! But, through it all, there are people in our community who have shone through – people who have gone above and beyond to make the lives of others just a little bit easier.
The Randburg Sun and West Pack Lifestyle are looking to reward our community heroes – those people who put their love for others above themselves – the real heroes among us.
Maybe it’s a teacher who really makes an above-and-beyond effort with the youngsters she encounters or an elderly resident who picks up litter on his daily walk. Maybe it’s an animal lover who spends time walking abandoned dogs at a local shelter or a youngster who makes an extra sandwich every day for a friend in need.
We know our community, and we know these heroes live among us – we write about them all the time, and now we want to celebrate them. Do you know of a hero you would like to bring to our attention? Well, you can nominate them to be named the Randburg Sun Hero of the Month brought to you by West Pack Lifestyle – aka #RandburgHero. The winner of this monthly competition will win a R1 000 West Pack Lifestyle voucher.
So, who can enter? Well, no heroic act is too small. So, whoever you are, if you know someone who is making the lives of the people around them better, then please, nominate them to be named our Hero of the Month. Let us celebrate the deserving people all around us!
The winner will be chosen by our team and will be interviewed and photographed to appear in the Randburg Sun newspaper, as well as on our website. The first winner will be announced at the end of May, and monthly thereafter until December.
