Time is running out for you to nominate a #RandburgHero for our first ever Randburg Sun and Westpack Lifestyle Hero of the Month campaign. We will officially close the entries for this month’s campaign on 21 May at midday.
Can you believe it – time is running out for you to nominate a #RandburgHero for our first ever Randburg Sun and Westpack Lifestyle Hero of the Month campaign.
We will officially close the entries for this month’s campaign on 21 May at midday, and will chose our first ever Hero by close of business that day.
Randburg Sun has received so many amazing entries, and choosing just one Hero is going to be a tough decision. We have learned so much about our community members, and the amazing work they are doing.
Be sure that you will not miss out on any of it though. In the coming weeks, we plan to feature some of the nominations we have received, to bring awareness to the causes they champion. Not everyone can be our first winner, but we can certainly aid our nominees in continuing their good work, by bringing them to the forefront, so that our wonderful community might support them further,
There can be only one, but if your nominee did not come out on top this time, don’t despair. Simply nominate him or her again next month – there is no limit to the number of times a person can be nominated, or the number of people one can nominate – if you know someone working hard for our Randburg community, we want to know about it.
The first month of this campaign has been a massive success, and we have so enjoyed reading about the people in our community who are working to improve the lives of others. We have seen that no good deed goes unnoticed, with many of our nominees not even aware that they have been nominated. It is the true spirit of Ubuntu, giving with no expectation of reciprocation. Many of our nominees do not themselves have much – but what little they do, they are prepared to share with the people, animals and organisations that need it most. One thing is for sure, Randburg is filled with really, really good people.
So stay close to our social channels, if you want to be the first to know who will be named our very first Hero of the Month – they will receive a R1 000 voucher from Westpack Lifestyle to spend as they please.
And remember, this is just the first winner. This is an ongoing campaign, and we can’t wait to hear about who you will nominate next.
