Man found dead in suspected suicide

Police need help to identify suicide victim.

Police have asked the Randfontein community to assist them in identifying a suicide victim.

This after a body of an unknown male suicide victim was found in the Luipaardsvlei 30 area before midnight on Saturday two weeks ago.

According to Randfontein police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, “It is believed that the male, who is approximately 40-years-old, committed suicide in the early hours that morning.

“Police who attended the scene were unable to find any identification documents of him. The deceased had dreadlocks and was dressed in green trousers and a top.”

Police did not provide the herald with any photograph of the deceased and is relying on a description of the man.

The investigating officer, Warrant officer Pappas Mhlongo urges residents who might be able to identify the deceased, to please contact him on 011 278 8100.
