One killed, five injured in head-on crash
There were five other patients with injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
One person was killed and five others injured after two vehicles collided head-on near Carletonville on Saturday over the weekend.
Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said when paramedics arrived on scene, on Elandsrand Road, they found one person had sustained fatal injuries and was unfortunately declared dead on scene.
Over and above the deceased patient, there were five other patients with injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
“ER24 treated and transported two patients to Fountain Hospital for further treatment.
The remaining patients were treated and transported to hospital by other services.”
The cause of the incident remains unknown. Local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
