Christian Afrikaans artist raises the roof
Bouwer Bosch did what he knows best - he entertained.
A popular Christian Afrikaans singer visited Randfontein and raised the roof during his stay.
Bouwer Bosch, a young, and at times controversial, performer who has paved his own way in the South African Christian music scene recently visited the AFM Church in Randfontein.
Bosch’s performance was organised by the Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA) to raise funds for the school in order to replace roofing and build a creché at the school.
The church was chosen as venue because the school is in the same part of the town.
Bosch took to the stage and wowed Randfontein’s young, and not so young, residents.
Members of the audience were able to buy copies of his latest album, and those who took advantage of the offer will be among the first in the country to hear it, as it has only just been launched.
Bosch did not only show off his own talents – with him was a young Youtube artist, Almero, whom Bouwer has taken under his wing, and to whom he has entrusted many of the aspects of the new album.
RCA said they plan to have more events like this one as fundraisers, now that they know what doing so entails.
