VIDEO: I met Madiba in person – Caroline Setsiba

Caroline Setsiba, a Rand West City representative, walks down memory lane with the Herald to share her encounter with Tata Nelson Mandela 25 years ago.

You would have been lucky enough to lay eyes on Nelson Mandela in person. Perhaps you were even luckier to have shaken hands with, but for Caroline Setsiba of Greenhills, that is no match.

Madiba paid her a compliment on her beauty and even stood up to get her a glass of water.

Twenty-five years after meeting Madiba, Caroline’s face still lights up when talking about him.
