#comrades2019: A look at Randmark

Several Randmark athletes have been training for months in preparation for this year's Comrades Marathon.

Members of the Randmark Running and Cycle Club are very excited about the 94th Comrades Marathon, which is today, Sunday, 9 June.

Several Randmark athletes have been training for months in preparation for this year’s Comrades Marathon.

Yolandi Botha, 29, is going for her back-to-back medal since this is her second Comrades marathon.

I’ve wanted to do the Comrades since I was a little girl and it’s great that I accomplished it once, but I want to do it again. I enjoyed last year’s Comrades a lot.”

Randmark athlete, Casparus Luther, will be taking on his very first Comrades Marathon this year at the age of 42.

“I run because I absolutely love it. Health and fitness are a priority for me,” he said.

The other athletes from Randmark who will be running the Comrades this year are Daniel Willemse, Lorinda Engelbrecht, Karin Bezuidenhout, Obed Motjale, Gavin Pansegrouw and Michael Moloi.
