Randfontein Police updated the Herald on the latest information after the bodies of three people had been discovered on Flower Road around Luipaardsvlei Farm near Zenzele on Thursday, September 30. They were foreign nationals from Lesotho.

According to Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, it was believed at the time that all three victims were members of the infamous zama zama illegal miners syndicate and lived in Dobsonville Gardens in Soweto. However, further investigations revealed this was not the case.

The two male victims were working at the mine as ordinary workers, while the female victim was the girlfriend of one of the male victims,” Sergeant Hendricks added.
